About Our Trips
Rates are quoted for up to 6 anglers, and fuel is included. There are no surcharges.
Red Snapper trips. (in season) $1400
These trips average 6-8 hours, depending on weather and environmental conditions. We leave the dock at 7 am and head offshore 8-10 miles in search of live bait. After that we’ll run on out to the fishing grounds where we’ll shoot for a limit of big red snapper.
Snapper season opens each year on June 1 and usually runs through at least the end of July, sometimes a few days into August. Seasons are set by the federal government, and are announced in the early spring.
Deep Water trips. $1900
We leave the dock at 7 am and stay out 10-12 hours. We’ll fish for red snapper or amberjack, depending on the season, then it’s dealer’s choice as we have a lot of options to choose from. We can head for the scamp hole and try for some of these fat tasty grouper, or maybe troll for dolphin (mahi-mahi) around the weather buoy. Late summer, when shrimp season opens, we like to target tuna and dolphin around anchored shrimp boats in deep water. Sometimes we’ll find a big mat of floating sargassum (seaweed) with cobia or wahoo hanging around it.
Amberjack season is again set each year by the federal government and announced in the spring. It opens August 1 and runs through September and into October.
